There has not been a better time than the present to positively impact the lives of youth within our community! From the ongoing effects of COVID to an increase in violence across the nation, the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg needs your help in creating a better tomorrow for the youth of today. Through a variety of programs, we have been able to introduce new experiences to our young members and prepare them for a bright future, but there is more work to do. Join the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg as we fight to keep our children safe and provide each of them with a great future!
We are asking businesses, corporations and individuals to purchase Virginia Department of Education Tax Credits (NAPE) to support the Boys and Girls Club as we help our young members graduate high school and become upstanding individuals that positively impact our community. The Neighborhood Assistance Act Tax Credit Program for Education, administered by the Virginia Department of Education, allows individuals or businesses to receive state tax credits — up to 65 percent of the qualified donation. Tax credits issued to donors are limited by the neighborhood organization, Boys and Girls Club.
Note: There is a $616.00 minimum donation for businesses and $500.00 minimum for individuals.
THERE ARE ONLY $55,000 IN ALLOCATED TAX CREDITS REMAINING AND MUST BE FINALIZED BY JUNE 19, 2023.
Eligibility requires that all donations have proper supporting documentation, i.e., a copied check or credit card statement, accompanied by a completed business or individual NAPE form. The Department of Education makes the final decision on the eligibility of all donations.
