The Board of Directors at the Boys & Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg (The Club) are happy to announce that Scott McCurley has been appointed our new CEO. Jackie Cawley, Board President at The Club states that Scott will begin this leadership role on February 1, 2024. Scott's outstanding leadership and expertise will be invaluable in guiding The Club through its next phase of growth and development.

Scott has twenty years of education experience including his past role as Academic Dean at the New Covenant School in Lynchburg. In this role, Scott provided predictability and support to faculty, students and parents, developing a culture of both grace and accountability.

Scott has Masters of Arts in Liberal Arts St. John's College, Annapolis MD, 2003 Bachelor of Science in Public Health University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill, 1993.

In every community, boys and girls are left home alone every day to find their own entertainment and community. At the Boys &Girls Club of Greater Lynchburg, it's our daily mission to provide programs and foster community for Greater Lynchburg youth that will make a lasting impact on their future. Scott will lead The Club into the future embracing our mission and help our Club members succeed.
